The same problem, back again.

Most hard problems aren’t new. I help founders and CEOs see the system that keeps producing it - including the part that’s you - and then do the work you already know needs doing.

Where it usually starts

• A bigger seat the old habits don’t fit.

• A call you can’t undo.

• A team that tells you what you want to hear.

Bring the decision in front of you. We’ll work on what keeps producing it.

What I do

See the system.

The people, the incentives, and the unwritten rules around the problem.

Challenge the assumptions, including yours.

How you’re reading it, and what that reading protects.

Hold you to the work.

The work you already know you need to do, with dates and a written record.

The accountability is yours - I help you build it and keep it.

The 90-day term

• Weeks 1-2: Map it and pick one objective.

• Weeks 3-10: Work it on live situations.

• Weeks 11-13: Review the evidence and decide what’s next.

Then: renew on a new objective, step down to Continuing, or stop. I’ll tell you which one I’d recommend - including stop. Each term should leave you not needing me for that problem.

What you can expect from me

The Flinted Edge is my independent leadership advisory practice. I have commanded at every level and worked with senior leaders in high-pressure, high-consequence environments. That experience includes bringing people with different responsibilities and viewpoints to a shared understanding, then making and carrying through difficult decisions. Leadership coaching training through Georgetown University also informs my work.

You can expect careful listening, direct questions, and an honest perspective.

Who it isn’t for

If you want a framework, a keynote, team training, therapy, or someone to agree with you, I’m the wrong call.

Tell me what keeps coming back.

A few lines is enough. I reply within two evenings, and if it isn’t a fit, I’ll say so.
